The Giulietta Sprint harks back to a period of great creative fervour immediately after the Second World War and, even today, is one of the most symbolic cars of the period ('50s-'60s) as well as being one of the most successful models in the history of the House of Portello. The car represents a historic turning point in the definition of the grand tourer: it was of relatively low cubic capacity but its mechanics were so sophisticated that it delivered a level of performance substantially superior to the norm. Due to that quality, which was even more refined in the more powerful versions, the car was able to distinguish itself in motor sport, scoring an extraordinary number of international successes. The book offers Alfa Romeo enthusiasts a complete historical picture of this specific model, with production dates, chassis numbers of the various versions and a useful guide to the restoration of the body and mechanics of examples still in existence. Size: 24,8x 27 cms - Photo: 158 b/w and 27 in colour - Softbound with flaps - Text: Italian
